George joined Finlaysons in March 1989 upon his immigration to Australia and was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in December 1989.  He became a partner of the firm in July 1990 and practices in resources, native title, infrastructure development and general commercial.
He is currently a member of the Finlaysons Board, having chaired the Board from 2000 to 2003, and is a former leader of the firm’s Property Development and Corporate and Commercial Department.
He heads up the firm’s Commercial Services Division and its Resources and Native Title practice area.
George is a Councillor and Vice-President of the South Australia Chamber of Mines and Energy.
He is the sole lawyer in practice practice who is a member of the Resources Industry Development Board, a body established by the South Australian Government to advise it on the development of the resources and energy industries in the State.
He has acted for a number of companies in negotiations with the Commonwealth for access deeds for mining on Defence land in South Australia.
