Mr McAleese has more than 20 years of experience in funds management and business analysis, as a mining analyst and subsequently as a portfolio manager. 

More recently, he was the Corporate Development and Investor Relations Manager at Macarthur Coal. 

Originally trained as a geologist, Mr McAleese was involved in exploration and mine geology, including in base metals, in a variety of countries and companies before moving into the financial sector.
