Paul Heithersay is Executive Director of the Division of Minerals and Energy within PIRSA a position he has held since July 2004. Prior to joining the SA Government 3 years ago, he spent over 20 years in the Mining Industry working in Australia and Southeast Asia for North Limited and its predecessor Geopeko. His career covered all aspects of exploration and mine development leading to his appointment as Exploration Manager for Australasia, Europe and Africa.
He is a graduate of the University of Adelaide and the Australian National University where he completed a PhD study on the Northparkes Porphyry Copper Gold Deposits. He is a Board Member of CRC LEME and a member of the Research Committee of pmd*CRC.
